Charcoal from Coconut Shells
While charcoal can be made from coal, wood, or other substances, activated coconut charcoal is special. It's made by burning coconut shells at a very high heat of 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit with steam in the absence of oxygen. This creates millions of tiny pores per gram.
Coconut charcoal is also processed with additional steps from other sources of charcoal to remove impurities and produce finer grains, which is ideal for detoxification,

What is Adsorption?
The adsorption process is a binding process. Through adsorption, particles to a substance surface. Not to be confused with "absorption", in which particles enter into the interior of a substance.

Usage & Notes
Activated charcoal should not be confused with common cooking charcoal such as those used with grills or fireplaces. This material has not undergone the same super-heating process required for activated charcoal.
Recommended use: Take 1/2 a teaspoon (500mg) twice daily, 3-4 hours before or after meals. Mix with your favorite beverage.
