5 Simple Habits to Help Clients Stay Healthy During Travel
Whether by car, train or plane, about 50% of Americans expect to travel during the winter holidays. Sticking to healthy habits on the road or away from home can be a struggle – but doing so can help your clients feel their best.
Traveling often involves prolonged periods of sitting in airports, in cars and even at the dinner table on special occasions. However, being sedentary and sitting for too long has short- and potentially long-term impacts, even when it’s for something enjoyable like a meal with family, religious service or a holiday concert.
Here are some simple habits to help clients prioritize their health and get moving during the holidays or anytime they travel.
- Stand up and walk as often as possible. On planes and trains, choose an aisle seat and try to get up every couple of hours. When driving, plan breaks every couple of hours to stretch and walk around for a few minutes.
- Move your legs even if you can’t get up. Seated calf raises can help keep blood flowing, or try writing the alphabet with the toes.
- Wear compression socks to help keep the lower legs comfortable and blood moving.
- Stay hydrated. This will not only serve as a reminder to take breaks, but it will also help maintain healthy digestion, circulation and even mood.
- Don’t sit with the legs crossed or in other positions that compromise blood flow. (This can also lead to musculoskeletal discomfort.) Change positions often, even when sitting on a couch or at a kitchen table.
Get to Know Nattokinase Pro
Keeping fibrin in a normal, healthy range supports both circulation and cardiovascular health. The enzyme nattokinase has been found to effectively break down and regulate fibrin by producing plasmin, a proteolytic enzyme.* Nattokinase can help support cardiovascular health, especially as we age.*
Our Nattokinase Pro™ is a high-potency nattokinase formulation that works to promote optimal cardiovascular health.* Nattokinase Pro™ contains NSK-SD®, the first nattokinase derived from the food natto, to be introduced to the US market. NSK-SD is uniquely processed to remove vitamin K2 for those who need to avoid consuming that nutrient.
Nattokinase works by enhancing the body’s ability to produce plasmin, which breaks down and helps the body regulate fibrin (by encouraging healthy blood coagulation for an optimally functioning cardiovascular system).*
In its natural state, nattokinsase contains high levels of vitamin K2, which is essential for blood coagulation. However, those taking nattokinase to support healthy blood flow require a form without K2.
In combination with nattokinase, a comprehensive blend of supportive enzymes works synergistically to promote total body wellness and cardiovascular health.*
