Patient Protocol: For Balanced Gut Flora & Yeast^

Patient Protocol: For Balanced Gut Flora & Yeast^

Vulvovaginal candidiasis is caused by an overgrowth of candida species.  The most common is Candida albicans.  Candida is a normal growth of the vagina and gastrointestinal tract. Under normal conditions, it does not overpopulate and cause symptoms, but yeast overgrowth and symptoms do occur when the other “good bacteria”  in the vagina and/or intestines are insufficient to keep things in balance. Yeast vulvovaginitis is most common after puberty and before menopause.

Fundamentals to Consider

  • Restore vaginal ecology and microbiome
  • Nourish gastrointestinal health and microbiome

Supplement Protocol

  • for chronic or recurring yeast vulvovaginitis
  • 3 month minimum
  • The gut can be a reservoir for recurring yeast vaginitis, so attend to both the vagina and the gut.
