Why We Combine PEA and Meriva Curcumin*

Why We Combine PEA and Meriva Curcumin*

Our (PEA)+ formula relieves stress, soreness and discomfort associated with occasional pain, stiffness and compromised tissue function (as a result of overexertion and everyday stress).*

This formula combines ultra-micronized PEA with highly bioavailable curcumin.* Why these two ingredients? Together, this pair provides natural support for the entire body — with a focus on the nervous, immune and muscular systems.*

What is PEA or Palmitoylethanolamide*

Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is an endogenous fatty acid amide, part of a group of biologically active lipids.1  The body naturally produces these lipids to soothe discomfort during times of physiological distress.*2

PEA supplements work with the body to support homeostasis, calm discomfort and promote levels necessary for optimal well-being.* This promotes the “bliss molecule,” a neurotransmitter that helps induce joy.* PEA also supports the nervous, immune and muscular systems.* (PEA)+ from Enzyme Science uses naturally derived palmitoylethanolamide from safflower seed, in a uniquely superior, ultra-micronized blend.

Why We Add Curcumin

Curcumin is the pigment that makes turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) such a vibrant shade of yellow. While widely used and researched, curcumin is not well absorbed orally. Meriva® Phytosome addresses that issue. It is a patented formulation of curcumin made with sunflower-derived phosphatidylcholine. This leads to better bioavailability by offering higher stability and oral absorption in comparison with unformulated curcumin.3

Meriva was independently endorsed by Cleveland Clinic as the curcumin formulation of choice.

(PEA)+ combines PEA from safflower seed with Meriva® Phytosome. Ultra-micronized PEA offers greater absorption to support optimal nerve activity.* In addition, clinically studied Meriva® curcumin is highly bioavailable versus traditional forms for faster benefits.*

This formula:

  • naturally affects the bliss molecule, a neurotransmitter that helps drive feelings of joy.*
  • supports the body’s level of PEA to calm discomfort and promote overall well-being.*
  • supports the body’s nervous, immune and muscular systems.*
