The Benefits

Complete Dairy Digestion Formula*

Many people have difficulty digesting meals containing dairy, resulting in occasional discomforts like gas and bloating. These discomforts occur due to the body’s deficiency of enzymes that help break down lactose and the dairy protein casein in the digestive tract.*

DairyAssist™ is a dual-action formula combining:

  • Lactase to aid in the digestion of lactose*
  • Protease which helps to break down casein and dairy proteins*

Complete dairy digestion may naturally reduce discomforts associated with lactose intolerance.*

Usage & Notes

Recommended Use: 1 capsule with each meal containing dairy. More may be taken as needed.

Enzymedica does not use ingredients produced using biotechnology.

Consult with a physician prior to use if pregnant or nursing.

The Science
Dairy intolerance can be a complicated issue. When one is lactose intolerant, they are deficient in lactase, the enzyme produced by the body to break dairy sugar down into glucose, a simple sugar that can be quickly absorbed. When there is not enough lactase in the digestive system to digest the amount of lactose consumed, the body retains water in the bowel. The result may be discomfort, occasional bloating and irregularity.*

Lactose intolerance impacts as many as 50 million Americans.(1) Some causes of lactose intolerance are well known. Many factors can reduce the number of enzymes produced. In rare cases, children are born without the ability to produce the enzyme lactase. For most people, however, lactase deficiency develops with age.

Supplementing with digestive enzymes may assist the body in breaking down lactose and casein and help reduce the onset of occasional symptoms associated with this intolerance.*
